The New Patriotic Party (NPP) held an inter-denominational Christian praise and thanksgiving service at the\u00a0Accra Sports Stadium today [Sunday], to thank God for the party\u2019s resounding victory in the just-ended presidential and parliamentary elections.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The service was under the theme: \u201cWe will rejoice in thy salvation and in the name of our God. We will set up our banners. The Lord fulfil\u00a0all thy petitions, Psalm 20:5.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n A number of renowned gospel artistes and preachers ministered during the service including;\u00a0Diana Asamoah, Philipa Baafi,\u00a0Nicholas Omane Acheampong, Christina Love, Rev. Owusu Bempah and Josh Laryea.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Present at the service were Nana Addo’s running\u00a0Running Mate and incoming Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia; his wife, Samira Bawumia; NPP’s acting Chairman, Freddy Blay, members of the presidential transition team led by Yaw Osafo Marfo and other prominent party personalities.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Speaking at the service, president-elect Nana Akufo-Addo condemned acts of violence<\/a><\/strong><\/span> allegedly being perpetrated by supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) following the party’s victory, and urged Ghanaians to forgive one another and exhibit kindness.<\/p>\n
