The National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches (NACCC), is urging members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to be modest in their celebration of the party\u2019s victory in the just ended general elections.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a congratulatory statement signed by the Association\u2019s General Secretary, Bishop Gideon Titi-Ofei.<\/p>\n

\u201cNACCC entreats the winning party’s supporters to see this victory as a victory for Ghana and therefore be modest in their jubilation by not taking the law into their own hands,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

The Association congratulated the incumbent President, John Mahama for his exemplary role in ensuring a peaceful electioneering period.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches of Ghana (NACCC) wish to congratulate the President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for emerging victorious in the 2016 Presidential elections and also wish to congratulate His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama for the excellent leadership role he played in achieving a peaceful elections in Ghana coupled with the bold step in congratulating the President-elect.\u201d<\/p>\n

It also lauded the other political parties and the independent candidates for their respective roles in achieving a successful election.<\/p>\n

\u201cNACCC also salutes the Electoral Commission, the National Peace Council, the Security services, Civil Society Organization, Political party supporters and the media for their respective roles.\u201d<\/p>\n

It urged the populace to continue to pray for the country as it goes through the transition period.<\/p>\n

\u201cNACCC urges Ghanaians to continue to pray and acknowledge God upon our beloved country as we go through this transition period.\u201d<\/p>\n
