Portugal’s team doctor has insisted that Cristiano Ronaldo will be fit for the game on Thursday against Ghana.<\/p>\n
The Portugal captain has been struggling with tendinitis throughout the tournament, which has seen him limp out of several training sessions.<\/p>\n
Ronaldo, however, has completed 90 minutes in each of Portugal’s two games so far at the tournament despite fears that he could aggravate the injury.<\/p>\n
The two-time world player of the year is expected to start the game against Ghana as well, with Portugal needing a win to stand any chance of progressing from the group.<\/p>\n
Henrique Jones believes that Ronaldo is fit to face Ghana and is is in a much better condition than when the team arrived in Brazil.<\/p>\n
“He is better than when he arrived in the national team set-up,” Henrique Jones told Publico.<\/em><\/p>\n “In medical terms I do not know if he is 100 per cent, but is clinically he is well and is able to compete.
