Citi News reported from the area that police met them men in a green Ford pickup.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Weija-Gbawe-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-275218\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Weija-Gbawe-1.jpg\" alt=\"weija-gbawe-1\" width=\"600\" height=\"402\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The police asked them to stop but the men in the pickup refused\u00a0to heed the police&#8217;s commands leading to an altercation. The military was eventually called in as reinforcements to restrain the men.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Weija-Gbawe-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-275219\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Weija-Gbawe-2.jpg\" alt=\"weija-gbawe-2\" width=\"600\" height=\"424\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Residents in the\u00a0area lamented that something similar to this happened in 2008, when some land guards were deployed by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to go and snatch ballot boxes from Tettegu, known to be a stronghold of the party.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Weija-Gbawe-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-275220\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Weija-Gbawe-3.jpg\" alt=\"weija-gbawe-3\" width=\"600\" height=\"412\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One of the residents spoke to Citi News and alleged that pickup belonged to Tina Mensah, the NPP Parliamentary candidate for the constituency.<\/p>\n<p>According to the resident, he lived close to Tina Mensah and recognised the pickup.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_275222\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-275222\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Tina-Mensah-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-275222\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Tina-Mensah-2.jpg\" alt=\"Tina Mensah\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-275222\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tina Mensah<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThat is normally what the NPP people used to do over here. The pickup that came belongs to Tina Mensah, the green pickup with the boys. We know all of them from Weija,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He narrated further that: \u201cwe were here voting and a group of people came in white and the green pickup\u2026 they were here to take the printing materials plus the verification machines.
