{"id":274272,"date":"2016-12-05T06:00:32","date_gmt":"2016-12-05T06:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=274272"},"modified":"2016-12-05T06:00:32","modified_gmt":"2016-12-05T06:00:32","slug":"ecg-sensitizes-archbishop-porter-girls-shs-on-its-operations-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/12\/ecg-sensitizes-archbishop-porter-girls-shs-on-its-operations-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"ECG sensitizes Archbishop Porter Girls SHS on its operations [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students of the Archbishop Porter Girls Senior High School in Takoradi in the Western Region have been sensitized about the operations of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).<\/p>\n<p>The sensitization formed part of the week-long celebrations to mark the 28th anniversary of Power Queens Club.<\/p>\n<p>The Power Queens Club is a an association of female workers of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), who embark on several outdoor events for the benefit of society.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-274274 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Porters-2.jpg\" alt=\"porters-2\" width=\"629\" height=\"419\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-274280 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Porters-8.jpg\" alt=\"porters-8\" width=\"638\" height=\"425\" \/><br \/>\nThe theme for the celebrations was \u2018Integrity in Service Delivery, the role of the Queen\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Philip Osei Bonsu, the Public Relations Officer for the Western Regional office of the ECG, introduced the students to Ghana\u2019s Power Supply chain (Generation, Transmission, and Distribution) and ECG\u2019s role in same.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that, educating the young generation in 2nd cycle institutions was part of ECG\u2019s stakeholder engagement and communications strategy.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-274279 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Porters-7.jpg\" alt=\"porters-7\" width=\"594\" height=\"396\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-274278 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Porters-6.jpg\" alt=\"porters-6\" width=\"597\" height=\"398\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Other speakers included the Marketing Officer, Queen Sylvestina Araba Annan, who took the students through some energy conservation tips.<\/p>\n<p>Ing.
