A former CEO of Accra Hearts of Oak Football Club, Vincent Sowah Odotei, has called on the government to investigate reports \u00a0implicating the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in a match-fixing scam.<\/p>\n
A secret recording released by British newspaper The Daily Telegraph<\/i> and Channel 4<\/i> appeared to show GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi agreeing to a proposal from investigators posing as agents to arrange friendly matches for the Black Stars.<\/p>\n
The Daily Telegraph and Channel 4 claim that the GFA president had agreed to the contract, which included a clause indicating the agents \u201cwill appoint and pay for the cost of the referees\/match officials in consultation with an agreement with FIFA member associations(s)\u201d.<\/p>\n
