{"id":271194,"date":"2016-11-24T08:36:06","date_gmt":"2016-11-24T08:36:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=271194"},"modified":"2016-11-24T08:36:06","modified_gmt":"2016-11-24T08:36:06","slug":"over-1500-jobs-to-be-created-through-fdi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/11\/over-1500-jobs-to-be-created-through-fdi\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 1,500 jobs to be created through FDIs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1,504 jobs are expected to be created in Ghana through registered Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects in the third quarter of 2016.<\/p>\n<p>This figure is about 75 percent lower than the previous year where 5,993 jobs were created through FDIs.<br \/>\nAccording to the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), about 85 percent of the jobs created will go to Ghanaians while the remaining will go to foreigners.<\/p>\n<p>1,290 jobs are to go to Ghanaians while 214 will go to expatriates.<\/p>\n<p>The services sector is expected to gain the biggest chunk of this figure while the agric sector will record nothing.<\/p>\n<p>The agric sector however in the previous year \u00a0(2015) during the third quarter employed 95 people.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile the Building and Construction Industry is expected to employ 350 people.<\/p>\n<p>The Export and Trade sector is expected to employ 21 people and General Trading 149 people.<\/p>\n<p>Liaison sector 43 people, manufacturing sector 382 people and Services sector 509 people.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By:\u00a0 Anita Arthur\/citibusinessnews.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1,504 jobs are expected to be created in Ghana through registered Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects in the third quarter of 2016.
