The presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has described President John Mahama, as a novice in Ghana’s democracy\u00a0.<\/p>\n
Addressing supporters at the Upper West regional campaign rally in\u00a0Wa, Nana Akufo-Addo said, “the president doesn’t understand what democracy is all about, democracy means that the power in our country is in the hands of you the people of Ghana. You are the sovereign; you are those who hold the sovereign power of our nation.”<\/p>\n
“If I am seeking on your behalf to exercise that power for your presidency, do I not have to plead with you?” He quizzed in\u00a0reaction\u00a0to comments made by the president that he is going round begging for votes.<\/p>\n
Adult education<\/strong><\/p>\n Nana Akufo-Addo said apart from the Free Education that will give equal opportunities to Ghanaian children to secure their future, an Akufo-Addo government will “revive the *Adult Education programme* to make it possible for those of us who are\u00a0grown-ups\u00a0but for some reason do not have the \u00a0opportunity to go to school.”<\/p>\n This, he said, will help the nation move forward.<\/p>\n
