The Finance Ministry has granted financial clearance to the Health Ministry for the recruitment of 8,634 health care personnel\u00a0to provide health care at varying levels across the country.<\/p>\n
Of the number cleared, 5,400 are nursing assistants who have been passed by the Nursing and Midwifery council.<\/p>\n
Another 1,538 made up of 1,500 emergency medical technicians (EMTs), and 38 other professionals, have been\u00a0cleared for the Ambulance Service.<\/p>\n
A letter from the Finance Ministry, signed by Finance Minister Seth Terkper, and cited by\u00a0Citi News<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>notified the Health Ministry to ensure that the relevant staff have their documents processed in time.<\/p>\n
