The Old Students Association of the Osu Presbyterian Senior High School (OPOSA\u201989 year group) has donated some items and cash to the Osu correctional center.<\/p>\n
Items donated to the Osu correctional center included; medicine, detergent, cooking oils, toilet rolls footwear and bags of rice worth over 4,000cedis.<\/p>\n
Celebrating 25 years after leaving school, OPOSA\u201989 group\u00a0also refurbished their school library.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0library\u00a0will be inaugurated\u00a0on Saturday,\u00a0 June 28, \u00a02014.<\/p>\n
A representative from the Department of Social and Community Development, Gifty Quansah expressed gratitude to the group for their kind gesture and said that she is more than glad because the facility survives on such donations.<\/p>\n
According to her, the amount of money allocated to the center for their upkeep yearly is woefully inadequate. She noted that the budget allocated to them for the year is only GHC 500.<\/p>\n
Madam Quansah also revealed that the facility has seen its other branches shut down due to the lack of funds to run the correctional center.<\/p>\n
