Some basic school pupils in various parts of the Northern Region sit on the bare floor to learn.<\/p>\n
This is largely due to lack of furniture in such schools located in deprived communities.<\/p>\n
This situation is contributing to the falling standard of education in the Northern Region.<\/p>\n
There are situations where one teacher handles three or more classrooms a day.<\/p>\n
One of such is Gnani primary school in the Yendi district which lacks classroom furniture.<\/p>\n
