The Electricity Company of Ghana(ECG) has attributed recent power cuts in some parts of the country to maintenance works it is undertaking to boost power supply.<\/p>\n
Some Ghanaians have recently complained of intermittent power cuts, blaming the situation on load shedding.<\/p>\n
But speaking to Citi Business News<\/strong> after a tour of some of the project sites in the Dodowa District, the Public Relations Officer of ECG William Boateng explained that the exercise is aimed at expanding the power distribution networks in the country.<\/p>\n \u201cThe challenges we are facing in recent times has to do with distribution network . we are making sure that we do a lot of projects in the system and in the course undertaking those projects we put the system off to enable the contractors work on the on the lines,\u201d he siad .<\/p>\n
