{"id":266973,"date":"2016-11-10T11:59:55","date_gmt":"2016-11-10T11:59:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=266973"},"modified":"2016-11-10T11:59:55","modified_gmt":"2016-11-10T11:59:55","slug":"kwame-nkrumah-circle-interchange-to-be-opened-to-traffic-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/11\/kwame-nkrumah-circle-interchange-to-be-opened-to-traffic-monday\/","title":{"rendered":"Kwame Nkrumah Circle interchange to be opened to traffic Monday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Kwame Nkrumah interchange would be opened to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Monday, November 14, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>A statement issued from the Ministry of Roads and Highways said, the opening was necessary to reduce congestion and allow traffic to flow freely at the Interchange and its environs.<\/p>\n<p>It cautioned motorists to park only at authorised spaces and urged pedestrians to use designated walk ways.<\/p>\n<p>The statement asked the drivers of big trucks to, as a matter of critical importance, observe the height restrictions when using the Interchange, and also tasked traders to transact businesses at authorised locations.<\/p>\n<p>It said: \u201cLaw enforcement officers would not countenance any encroachment on the aforementioned routes\u201d, warning that trespassers would be dealt with and appropriate sanctions applied where necessary.<\/p>\n<p>It also warned that persons who deface the area would bear any cost that would be incurred in removing their posters or other littered materials from unauthorised places.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said Law enforcement officers would be stationed to direct and assist motorists and pedestrians on all the adjoining routes in and around the Interchange.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe general public, both motorists and pedestrians are strictly advised to observe all road traffic regulations and obey the law enforcement officials to make driving on the new Kwame Nkrumah interchange safe and smooth for all,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Source: GNA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Kwame Nkrumah interchange would be opened to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Monday, November 14, 2016.
