{"id":265070,"date":"2016-11-04T08:41:29","date_gmt":"2016-11-04T08:41:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=265070"},"modified":"2016-11-04T08:41:29","modified_gmt":"2016-11-04T08:41:29","slug":"mahama-inaugurates-diamond-cement-plant-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/11\/mahama-inaugurates-diamond-cement-plant-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"Mahama inaugurates Diamond Cement Plant [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President John Mahama has said the decision of Western Diamond Cement to set up an ultra modern cement factory in the Western Region will attract more investors into the country.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citibusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FB_IMG_1478242828736.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-65431\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65431\" src=\"http:\/\/citibusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FB_IMG_1478242828736.jpg\" alt=\"FB_IMG_1478242828736\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to him, the plant is confirmation that Ghana is a conducive place for investors to do business.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citibusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FB_IMG_1478242856550.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-65426\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65426\" src=\"http:\/\/citibusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FB_IMG_1478242856550.jpg\" alt=\"FB_IMG_1478242856550\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at an inaugural ceremony of the factory in Bokro in the Ahanta West District, President Mahama said the 50 million dollar plant is an indication of economic growth in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citibusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FB_IMG_1478242850345.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-65427\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65427\" src=\"http:\/\/citibusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FB_IMG_1478242850345.jpg\" alt=\"FB_IMG_1478242850345\" width=\"480\" height=\"720\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis 50 million dollars project we are witnessing is a manifestation of the foreign direct investment that Ghana is experiencing economic growth,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citibusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FB_IMG_1478242862475.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-65428\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65428\" src=\"http:\/\/citibusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FB_IMG_1478242862475.jpg\" alt=\"FB_IMG_1478242862475\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He stated that the decision to establish such a factory in Ghana is in the right direction since it will positively impact the lives of people in the Western region.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citibusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FB_IMG_1478242870275.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-65429\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65429\" src=\"http:\/\/citibusinessnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FB_IMG_1478242870275.jpg\" alt=\"FB_IMG_1478242870275\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a government, we applaud Diamond Cement for the confidence they continue to demonstrate in Ghana. This gives strong positive signals to other investors about the conduciveness of the Ghanaian business environment for companies to invest significant amount of money into our economy.
