{"id":264892,"date":"2016-11-03T18:41:59","date_gmt":"2016-11-03T18:41:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=264892"},"modified":"2016-11-03T18:41:59","modified_gmt":"2016-11-03T18:41:59","slug":"43-year-old-notorious-masked-robber-arrested-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/11\/43-year-old-notorious-masked-robber-arrested-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"43-year old notorious masked robber arrested [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested a 43-year-old man, Charles Donkor popularly known as &#8216;killer&#8217; for possessing several weapons and ammunition unlawfully.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-264905\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Robber-2-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"robber-2\" width=\"620\" height=\"827\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He was arrested near Pokuase in the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday, November 1, at\u00a011.30pm, following police intelligence in an operation that lasted three hours.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-264908\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Robber-5-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"robber-5\" width=\"620\" height=\"827\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The weapons retrieved from his hideout after a search include an AK47, an SMG rifle, two AK 47 magazines, two G3 magazines, forty-three G3 empty shells, 188 rounds of G3 ammunitions, and 77 rounds of AK 47 ammunitions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/f7852db1-47fb-4bd7-a174-c1fd4c2312d4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-265001\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/f7852db1-47fb-4bd7-a174-c1fd4c2312d4.jpg\" alt=\"f7852db1-47fb-4bd7-a174-c1fd4c2312d4\" width=\"600\" height=\"408\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The others are thirteen cutlasses, three face masks, two hammers and two screwdrivers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-264904\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Robber-1-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"robber-1\" width=\"620\" height=\"827\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a press conference in Accra, the Regional Police Commander, ACP Timothy Yosa Bonga, said Charles Donkor is suspected to have been dealing in illegal weapons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is a hardened armed robber, a land guard, a killer and a murderer,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-264906\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Robber-3-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"robber-3\" width=\"620\" height=\"827\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On 31<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0October 2013, Charles Donkor was arrested by the police and after a thorough search, the police retrieved one revolver pistol, one pump action gun, and 29 rounds of live ammunition.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-264910\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Robber-7-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"robber-7\" width=\"620\" height=\"827\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was tried at a law court and sentenced to a fine for possessing arms without authority. He did not change from his nefarious activities until he was arrested again on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0of November 2016\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-264905\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Robber-2-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"robber-2\" width=\"620\" height=\"827\" \/><\/p>\n<p>ACP Timothy Yosa Bonga added that, the Police was committed to fighting crime in the national capital, ahead of the December polls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe police wishes to assure the public that, as we prepare for the polls, the police will do anything possible to maintain the peace, before, during and after the elections.
