The four police officers were not even able to take the gun away from him. It was after one of them hit him with the rifle that they were able to unarm him,\u201d one eyewitness said to <strong>Citi News\u2019<\/strong> Philip Nii Lartey who was at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe police were arresting the \u201cokada\u201d riders and demanding their keys, so they stopped this man; and asked him for his keys but he refused. The police tried forcefully to take the keys away from him when he noticed the gun,\u201d the eyewitness revealed.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear why the rider was carrying a loaded gun.<\/p>\n<p>The police were on an\u00a0exercise arresting the commercial motorbike riders (okada riders), since the business is an illegality, but has been allowed to expand ove time.<\/p>\n<p>Despite efforts by the police to clamp down on the Okada businesses, it is evidenent that the comerical motorbike operators, are not ready to\u00a0go out of business.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Delali Adogla-Bessa\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Police officers stationed at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle on Thursday morning, arrested a commercial motorbike rider, also known as \u201cokada\u201d, after they found a loaded hand gun on him.
