{"id":264467,"date":"2016-11-02T11:20:57","date_gmt":"2016-11-02T11:20:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=264467"},"modified":"2016-11-02T11:20:57","modified_gmt":"2016-11-02T11:20:57","slug":"kpone-bawaleshie-ymca-cvjm-rechtenbach-mark-30-years-of-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/11\/kpone-bawaleshie-ymca-cvjm-rechtenbach-mark-30-years-of-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"Kpone Bawaleshie YMCA, CVJM Rechtenbach mark 30 years of partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) in Kpone Bawaleshie in the Greater Accra Region has celebrated thirty years of partnership with their counterparts in Rechtebach, Germany.<\/p>\n<p>This saw 11 members of Christlicher Verein Junger Menschen (CVJM) in Rechtebach come to Ghana for two weeks to mark the celebration with their Ghanaian counterparts.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-264472 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/YMCA-CAKE.jpg\" alt=\"ymca-cake\" width=\"663\" height=\"398\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At a grand durbar to celebrate the partnership which the two groups like to describe as a family, the Guest of honour for the ceremony Mr Martin Schmidt mentioned that the partnership which exists between the two groups goes beyond the contractual agreement signed on a sheet of paper.<\/p>\n<p>Schmidt who is also the Chairman of CVJM Rechtebach said: \u201cthis partnership is more than a sheet of paper. It is for life. We have become a family and always believe we have family members in Ghana from Kpone Bawaleshie to be precise. We know that you also believe you have family members in Germany and Rechtebach for that matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the partnership, there has been 73 Germans visiting Kpone Bawaleshie on 40 different tours while 30 people have visited from Ghana.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-264471 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/20161029-123254.jpg\" alt=\"20161029-123254\" width=\"900\" height=\"540\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The President of the Kpone Bawaleshie YMCA George Nuertey Ahenguah expressed gratitude to their Rechtenbach partners for all the support they have given them over the years.
