{"id":263625,"date":"2016-10-31T11:22:49","date_gmt":"2016-10-31T11:22:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=263625"},"modified":"2016-10-31T11:22:49","modified_gmt":"2016-10-31T11:22:49","slug":"rawlings-enstooled-peace-chief-of-anlo-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/10\/rawlings-enstooled-peace-chief-of-anlo-state\/","title":{"rendered":"Rawlings enstooled peace chief of Anlo State"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Paramount Chief of Anlo Traditional Council Togbui Sri III has enstooled Former President John Jerry Rawlings as Togbuiga Nutifafa (Senior Peace chief) of Anlo Traditional area for his leading role in maintaining peace and stability in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>The former President was enstooled at a mini Hogbetsotso festival durbar held in Tadzewu to herald the upcoming grand durbar of the chiefs and people in Anloga <span data-term=\"goog_2060863144\">on Saturday<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-263634 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Rawlings-enstooled-peace-chief-7.jpg\" alt=\"rawlings-enstooled-peace-chief-7\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After leading a military coup, JJ Rawlings later brought democratic rule into the country.<\/p>\n<p>The former President has since been admired by many for his charisma, sincerity, drive, patriotism, and participatory leadership approach.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the ceremony, the Awomefia Togbui Sri said peace is an important element of national development and that those who work for peace deserve recognition.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-263633 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Rawlings-enstooled-peace-chief-6.jpg\" alt=\"rawlings-enstooled-peace-chief-6\" width=\"552\" height=\"772\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He described the JJ Rawlings as a brave son of the Anlo land who has brought peace and tranquility to Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>The Paramount Chief tasked the new Togbuiga Nutifafa to promote peace before, during and after the general elections.<\/p>\n<p>The Hogbetsotso festival is celebrate to commemorate the historical escape of the Ewes from the tyrant rule of Chief of Notsie Togbui Agorkorli in the Republic of Togo.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-263631 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Rawlings-enstooled-peace-chief-4.jpg\" alt=\"rawlings-enstooled-peace-chief-4\" width=\"480\" height=\"406\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The mini durbar which was hosted by Togbui Gbeworze of Afife was attended by some personalities including the MM for Ketu North Dr James Klutse Avedzi, the DCE of Ketu North Kofi Lawson, \u00a0Dr Senanu Agumenu among others.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-263628 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Rawlings-enstooled-peace-chief-1.jpg\" alt=\"rawlings-enstooled-peace-chief-1\" width=\"717\" height=\"813\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The main event is slated for <span data-term=\"goog_2060863145\">Saturday, November 5, 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-263630\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Rawlings-enstooled-peace-chief-3.jpg\" alt=\"rawlings-enstooled-peace-chief-3\" width=\"768\" height=\"503\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Anlo state which is described as the home of Ewe history can boast of historical sites such as \u2018Torkor Atorlia\u2019, which was the burial\u00a0 ground\u00a0 for recalcitrant\u00a0 youths in the past,\u00a0 \u2018gblornyavudo\u2019 at Tegbi,\u00a0\u00a0 Awasadame\u00a0 at\u00a0Tsiame, Fort\u00a0 Prinzentein\u00a0 at Keta,\u00a0 and the\u00a0 birds and\u00a0 monkey\u00a0 sanctuary\u00a0at Xavi.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: King Norbert\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Paramount Chief of Anlo Traditional Council Togbui Sri III has enstooled Former President John Jerry Rawlings as Togbuiga Nutifafa (Senior Peace chief) of Anlo Traditional area for his leading role in maintaining peace and stability in Ghana.
