{"id":262878,"date":"2016-10-28T19:49:46","date_gmt":"2016-10-28T19:49:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=262878"},"modified":"2016-10-28T19:49:46","modified_gmt":"2016-10-28T19:49:46","slug":"ill-not-abandon-uncompleted-ndc-projects-nana-addo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/10\/ill-not-abandon-uncompleted-ndc-projects-nana-addo\/","title":{"rendered":"I\u2019ll not abandon uncompleted NDC projects \u2013 Nana Addo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has promised that he would not abandon uncompleted projects being executed by the governing National Democratic Congress if he is elected president of Ghana on December 7.<\/p>\n<p>This he said is because of several pleas made to him by Ghanaians during his campaign tour of the country.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-262883 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/nana-addo-in-volta-region-4.jpg\" alt=\"nana-addo-in-volta-region-4\" width=\"993\" height=\"662\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He said his government would also make good use of other unfulfilled promises.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-262882\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/nana-addo-in-volta-region-3.jpg\" alt=\"nana-addo-in-volta-region-3\" width=\"993\" height=\"662\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In an interaction with the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, on Friday, October 28, 2016, the last day of his 5-day tour of the region, the NPP flagbearer stated that his government would set up the National Asset Protection Project to address this situation as captured in the party\u2019s 2016 manifesto.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the tragedies of this nation is the long list of abandoned projects dotted around this country; we have committed ourselves to tackling this disgraceful phenomenon through the National Asset Protection Project to ensure the continuity of projects,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-262881 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/nana-addo-in-volta-region-2.jpg\" alt=\"nana-addo-in-volta-region-2\" width=\"993\" height=\"662\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Nana Akufo-Addo assured the Volta Regional House of Chiefs that \u201cwe, in the NPP, do not see the construction of the road from Asikuma through Peki to Hohoe, no matter what it is christened, as a party political obligation on a ruling party. We see it as part of our national commitment to improve upon the lives of the people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that \u201canyone who has been on the roads that I have been on recently, be it Yendi to Saboba, or Asikuma through Peki through to Hohoe or Jasikan or Dambai to Nkwanta, no one who has been on any of these roads or similar ones around this country would even think of abandoning work on them because it was started by a political opponent. That is not the NPP way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-262879\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/nana-addo-in-volta-region-1.jpg\" alt=\"nana-addo-in-volta-region-1\" width=\"993\" height=\"662\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He also reassured that the project for the construction of two bungalows for the House of Chiefs, which had stalled, will be completed, stating that \u201cwe shouldn\u2019t have to break the bank to get that done quickly under an Akufo-Addo administration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Godwin A.
