{"id":26230,"date":"2014-06-20T10:34:14","date_gmt":"2014-06-20T10:34:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=26230"},"modified":"2014-06-20T12:58:03","modified_gmt":"2014-06-20T12:58:03","slug":"women-entrepreneurs-must-take-difficult-decisions-habiba-balogun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/06\/women-entrepreneurs-must-take-difficult-decisions-habiba-balogun\/","title":{"rendered":"Women entreprenuers must make difficult decisions &#8211; Habiba Balogun"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ghanaian women entrepreneurs\u00a0have been encouraged to make difficult decisions in growing their businesses even if it makes them unpopular in society.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the <em><strong>Citi Women entrepreneurs Breakfast<\/strong><\/em>, Nigerian business consultant, Habiba Balogun said most businesses fail because owners fear making unpopular decisions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/watermark-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-26263\" alt=\"watermark 2\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/watermark-2.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/watermark-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/watermark-2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a>She said even though &#8220;women face the triple burden-being woman, worker and welfare officer,&#8221; they can still build successful businesses.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, business women must recognize that they will be criticized regardless of the decisions they take hence, the need to choose decisions which will grow their businesses.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You&#8217;ll be criticized whether you make the tough decisions or not. You must choose between competence and popularity,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>She asked women to never discount their backgrounds or being a woman and must never make a decision based on their emotions.<br \/>\n&#8220;Never make a decision when you are emotional, do not make a decision when you are being persuaded.
