Two men have been arrested and detained by the police in Kumasi over the sickening murder of a taxi driver.<\/p>\n
Kwaku Poku alias, \u201cJunior\u201d, herbalist, and Kwadwo Kontoh, reportedly after killing Matthew Nkrumah, burned his body, before fleeing with his car.<\/p>\n
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mohammed Yussif Tanko, the Ashanti Regional Police Public Affairs Unit, told journalists that the incident happened on October 26, last year.<\/p>\n
They had engaged the services of the deceased to carry them in his Dae Matrix taxi from Tanoso in Kumasi to Bokankye in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District.<\/p>\n
Midway through the journey, they attacked him \u2013 stabbing him in many times in the rib with a knife and hit the head with a cement block until he dropped dead.<\/p>\n
ASP Tanko said the pair then set the lifeless body on fire and fled with his car.<\/p>\n
The car has since been recovered, he said, adding that, they had already confessed to the crime.<\/p>\n
