The National Service Scheme (NSS) has rolled out new modules to equip service personnel with entrepreneurial skills aimed at making them more employable.<\/p>\n

These module which will run concurrently with the regular national service\u00a0is aimed at equipping the youth with skill acquisition in agriculture.<\/p>\n

The Executive Director of the scheme, Alhaji Imoro Alhassan intimated the scheme since its establishment has focused on capacity building.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Citi News<\/strong> after the launch of the new modules, Alhaji Alhassan stated that service personnel who want to undertake their own business after the service year would have to submit proposals for consideration.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey would have to present a proposal on business ideas that they have and these proposals will be accessed and the enrolled onto the programme,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He added that they will be given the necessary training on the particular business they want to venture into.<\/p>\n

The training will entail, developing enterprises, business management and the seeking funding.<\/p>\n

Alhaji Alhassan was quick to clarify that the modules are not compulsory but it is for persons who are interested.<\/p>\n
