{"id":258650,"date":"2016-10-16T10:28:06","date_gmt":"2016-10-16T10:28:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=258650"},"modified":"2016-10-16T10:28:06","modified_gmt":"2016-10-16T10:28:06","slug":"apc-supporters-ditch-ayarigas-campaign-launch-in-ashaiman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/10\/apc-supporters-ditch-ayarigas-campaign-launch-in-ashaiman\/","title":{"rendered":"APC supporters ditch Ayariga&#8217;s campaign launch in Ashaiman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Supporters of the All People&#8217;s Congress (APC) in Ashaiman failed to turn up in their numbers during the party&#8217;s constituency campaign launch in the area.<\/p>\n<p>The programme which was billed to start at 10:00am dragged on till 5:00pm.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-258661 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/apc-campaign-launch-11.jpg\" alt=\"apc-campaign-launch-11\" width=\"768\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As at 4 pm, the platform was still under construction and the supporters were no where near the venue.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-258659\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/apc-campaign-launch-9.jpg\" alt=\"apc-campaign-launch-9\" width=\"768\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Journalists assigned to cover the programme and police officials who were there to keep peace had overwhelmed the few APC supporters present at the time.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-258658 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/apc-campaign-launch-8.jpg\" alt=\"apc-campaign-launch-8\" width=\"768\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The same venue which was filled to capacity during the campaign launch of both the governing National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party some days back was virtually empty during the constituency campaign launch of Hassan Ayariga&#8217;s APC.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-258656 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/apc-campaign-launch-6.jpg\" alt=\"apc-campaign-launch-6\" width=\"768\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Children as usual were at their best well represented at the programme despite the late start.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-258657 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/apc-campaign-launch-7.jpg\" alt=\"apc-campaign-launch-7\" width=\"768\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hassan Ayariga in the company of his Vice Presidential candidate and the parliamentary nominee for Ashaiman in an okada escort drove to the scene at about half past five.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-258654 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/apc-campaign-launch-4.jpg\" alt=\"apc-campaign-launch-4\" width=\"768\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Not even the presence of Hassan Ayariga could add an inch to the number of\u00a0supporters gathered \u00a0at the place.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-258653 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/apc-campaign-launch-3.jpg\" alt=\"apc-campaign-launch-3\" width=\"768\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When <strong>Citi News<\/strong> spoke to some of the sympathisers who were spotted in party T-shirts at the constituency campaign launch, they confessed they were die hard members of the NDC and that they were only around to grace the occasion.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-258651 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/apc-campaign-launch-1.jpg\" alt=\"apc-campaign-launch-1\" width=\"768\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are members of the NDC but we are here to just add up to the numbers but not to give them our votes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Elvis Washington\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Supporters of the All People&#8217;s Congress (APC) in Ashaiman failed to turn up in their numbers during the party&#8217;s constituency campaign launch in the area.
