Zenith Bank says the current economic challenges facing Nigeria has not impacted on the Bank’s operations in Ghana.<\/p>\n
Zenith Bank Ghana is also\u00a0confident of the company\u2019s prospects in the country despite similar prevailing\u00a0economic challenges facing the Ghanaian economy.<\/p>\n
The high interest rates, rising inflation, power crisis and the increased non-performing loans are but a few of the challenges that businesses have had to grapple with in recent years.<\/p>\n
According to the CEO of the Bank, Henry Oroh, the bank \u2018has stood side by side and weathered the storm together.\u201d<\/p>\n
Citing some African countries that have equally been faced with challenging economic times, Mr. Oroh attributed the outfit\u2019s confidence of the turnaround in the company\u2019s fortunes to the resilient Ghanaian economy.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere were challenges in Angola and neighbouring Nigeria\u2026In Ghana we have also had our own problems \u2026But despite that we see the Ghanaian economy is a sound, resilient and has been able to withstand the shocks than other countries within the sub-region,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Zenith Bank Ghana explains to Citi Business News<\/strong> it has been least affected by the economic woes of Nigeria, though the bank has one of its greatest operation stations from there.<\/p>\n \u201cOf course we are an integrated group across the world and we share intelligence among others. But the challenges that Nigeria is facing has certainly not affected the business in Ghana and we as a bank.
