Others areas are Pig Farm, Nima, Dzorwulu, Kotobabi, Maamobi and Abelenkpe.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to\u00a0<strong>Citi News,<\/strong>\u00a0the Chief Public Relations Manager at the (GWCL), Michael Agyemang said GWCL will not be able to supply water to individual homes.<\/p>\n<p>He however stated that reservoirs at Weija, 37 Military Hospital and Ashaiman have been filled up to supply hospitals, boarding schools and institutions rendering essential services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are not going to send water everywhere, we are going to concentrate on the hospitals, the polyclinic, like the 37 military hospital, the Police Hospital, La Hospital, and then the schools within the catchment area and the boarding schools. \u201c<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission has expressed satisfaction with the GWCL\u2019s plans to mitigate the impact of the shutdown on consumers.<\/p>\n<p>Director of Public Relations and External Affairs at the PURC, Nana Yaa Jantuah assured consumers that contingency plans have been put in place to monitor the exercise an ensure that consumers are not adversely affected.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Marian Efe Ansah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The water shortage situation in Accra could get worse from today as the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL)\u00a0shuts down the Kpong Water Treatment Plant for repair works today.
