{"id":258486,"date":"2016-10-15T13:51:46","date_gmt":"2016-10-15T13:51:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=258486"},"modified":"2016-10-15T13:51:46","modified_gmt":"2016-10-15T13:51:46","slug":"chelsea-3-0-leicester-city-dominant-blues-comfortable-against-champions-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/10\/chelsea-3-0-leicester-city-dominant-blues-comfortable-against-champions-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"Chelsea 3-0 Leicester City: Dominant Blues comfortable against Champions [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chelsea eased past Leicester City\u00a0at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime as the Premier League champions endured another miserable away day.<\/p>\n<p>The home side were dominant throughout, with goals from\u00a0Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and\u00a0Victor Moses sealing a comfortable and well deserved 3-0 victory.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sport.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-63084\" src=\"http:\/\/sport.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/3.jpg\" alt=\"3\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Leicester have now lost all four of their games on the road\u00a0this season, conceding 13 goals in the process, as their title defence continues to falter.<\/p>\n<p>For Chelsea, this was a performance that would have left manager Antonio Conte beaming.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sport.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/5-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-63085\" src=\"http:\/\/sport.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/5-1.jpg\" alt=\"5\" width=\"480\" height=\"328\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Conte laughed off questions about his future on the eve of this match after a flurry of bets on the Italian becoming the next Premier League manage to lose his job.<\/p>\n<p>And he saw his side deliver an outstanding performance from the first whistle to last.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sport.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Hazard-goal.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-63088\" src=\"http:\/\/sport.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Hazard-goal.jpg\" alt=\"hazard-goal\" width=\"480\" height=\"329\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Chelsea were ahead inside seven minutes and it was Costa who made the breakthrough.<\/p>\n<p>Nemanja Matic flicked on an Eden Hazard corner and the Spaniard was left unmarked at the back post to convert his seventh Premier League goal of the season.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sport.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Costa-cele.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-63086\" src=\"http:\/\/sport.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Costa-cele.jpg\" alt=\"costa-cele\" width=\"480\" height=\"269\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Chelsea\u00a0almost got a second in sensational style midway through the first half as a long-range free-kick from David Luiz came crashing back off Kasper Schmeichel\u2019s right-hand post.<\/p>\n<p>Just three minutes later, however, and the lead was doubled. Hazard &#8211; looking a man reborn under Conte \u2013 was the scorer as he latched on to Pedro\u2019s flick-on and coolly finished past Schmeichel to claim his third goal of the campaign.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sport.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Kante.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-63090\" src=\"http:\/\/sport.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Kante.jpg\" alt=\"kante\" width=\"480\" height=\"341\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Luiz tried his luck again from a free-kick but this time saw Schmeichel equal to his effort and Leicester would have been grateful not to concede another before the half-time whistle blew.<\/p>\n<p>The Foxes briefly rallied after the break with a decent spell of possession and\u00a0Luiz almost handed them a route back into the game when got a touch on Albrighton\u2019s cross but, luckily for the Chelsea defender, the ball came crashing back off the post and away to safety.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sport.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Moses-cele.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-63089\" src=\"http:\/\/sport.citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Moses-cele.jpg\" alt=\"moses-cele\" width=\"574\" height=\"389\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But Chelsea soon wrestled back control and\u00a0N\u2019Golo Kante and Matic came close to adding to the scoreline before Moses wrapped up all three points two minutes from time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Source TalkSport<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chelsea eased past Leicester City\u00a0at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime as the Premier League champions endured another miserable away day.
