{"id":257075,"date":"2016-10-11T12:10:35","date_gmt":"2016-10-11T12:10:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=257075"},"modified":"2016-10-11T12:10:35","modified_gmt":"2016-10-11T12:10:35","slug":"mahama-launches-braille-version-of-ndc-2016-manifesto-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/10\/mahama-launches-braille-version-of-ndc-2016-manifesto-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"Mahama launches braille version of NDC 2016 manifesto [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President John Mahama yesterday [Monday] launched the braille version of the National Democratic Congress\u2019 election 2016 manifesto.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-257092\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Mahama-braille-launch-11-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"mahama-braille-launch-11\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The launch comes three weeks after thousands of party supporters gathered at the Sunyani Coronation park in the Brong Ahafo region to witness the launch of the main election manifesto document.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-257094\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Mahama-braille-launch-13-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"mahama-braille-launch-13\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The President said the launch signified government&#8217;s recognition of vulnerable groups as critical aspects of the country&#8217;s human resource base.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-257093\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Mahama-braille-launch-12-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"mahama-braille-launch-12\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Addressing the gathering of pupils from special schools, Persons with Disability (PWDs) and government officials at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra, Mahama said this was the first in the history of the country such an event was happening adding that the launch, emphasized the NDC\u2019s commitment to its social democratic credentials.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-257087\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Mahama-braille-launch-5-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"mahama-braille-launch-5\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The NDC has always led the way in championing the cause of the disabled. We believe that disability is not inability,&#8221; President Mahama said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-257088\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Mahama-braille-launch-6-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"mahama-braille-launch-6\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" \/><\/p>\n<p>President Mahama said the NDC government was the first to appoint a person with disability as a Minister of State.
