<\/p>\nThe Presidential nominee of the opposition New Patriotic Party, (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo , has said President John Dramani Mahama cannot teach him any lessons in patriotism.<\/p>\n
While dismissing the President\u2019s claims that those who cannot see the success of the economy are unpatriotic, Nana Addo said the NPP is not looking for catchy phrases or meaningless slogans; but rather it is offering solutions that will take the country out of what he called economic crisis.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have heard the President of the Republic make the breathtaking claim that the economy is not in crises. He went further to say that those who say the economy is in crisis have bad eyesight.\u201d<\/p>\n
“The president says that those who say the economy is in crisis are unpatriotic.\u00a0Let me state clearly and without any equivocation that John Dramani Mahama cannot teach me any lessons in patriotism.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking at the launch of the party\u2019s manifesto in Accra, the NPP presidential nominee said he was looking to build a country that has equal opportunities for all its citizens.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can\u2019t go out and use the tax payer money to claim that I am accounting to the people to campaign as somebody has been doing. I don\u2019t have to go around the country to rediscover Ghana like somebody has been doing. Since 2012 I have been going to all the district creating jobs so I have been around and I know where everything is in Ghana and what the situation is in Ghana.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added that, \u201call true lovers of Ghana know that the circumstances of our existence these past eight years is not the Ghana that our forebears fought for. The Ghana of the past four years is certainly nothing like the Ghana the current population of Ghanains aspire to\u201d<\/p>\n
Nana Addo also stated that, the NPP\u2019s manifesto represents his social contract with the Ghanaian electorate when elected into office as president.<\/p>\n
According to him, the manifesto gives the NPP the opportunity to show that it is a party of rule of law and a party of business.<\/p>\n
