{"id":255322,"date":"2016-10-06T08:00:34","date_gmt":"2016-10-06T08:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=255322"},"modified":"2016-10-06T08:00:34","modified_gmt":"2016-10-06T08:00:34","slug":"fire-kills-two-at-fuel-station-at-dome","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/10\/fire-kills-two-at-fuel-station-at-dome\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire kills two at fuel station at Dome"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fire has gutted Maxxon fuel station at Dome in the Greater Accra Region, killing two workers of the station.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased, Richard Asante, 19 and Magdaline Mensah,24 are said to have been charred beyond recognition.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-255341\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/92af4599-5889-4dd2-9d08-42f93d216f01.jpg\" alt=\"92af4599-5889-4dd2-9d08-42f93d216f01\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Their bodies have since been conveyed to the Police Hospital in Accra for autopsy.<\/p>\n<p>Narrating the incident to <strong>Citi News&#8217;<\/strong> Awudu Mahama, the Regional Fire Commander for Greater Accra,Ebenezer Simpson \u00a0said the fire started around 2 am.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-255342\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/598cf67e-c387-41d5-b367-068689e31e00.jpg\" alt=\"598cf67e-c387-41d5-b367-068689e31e00\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Around 2: 58 \u00a0we received a fire call that there was fire at Maxxon filling station at Dome. We arrived at the scene within four minutes and we realised that the fire involved a Mart at the filling station&#8230;\u00a0we quickly forced our way inside and doused the fire but because the flame was too much it took us about 35 minutes to extinguish the fire.In the process, we realised that two people were dead,male and female.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We suspect that the fire started for sometime before we entered the shop.
