{"id":25515,"date":"2014-06-17T14:09:07","date_gmt":"2014-06-17T14:09:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=25515"},"modified":"2014-06-17T14:10:06","modified_gmt":"2014-06-17T14:10:06","slug":"kath-nurses-still-at-post-despite-ministrys-orders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/06\/kath-nurses-still-at-post-despite-ministrys-orders\/","title":{"rendered":"KATH nurses still at post  despite Ministry&#8217;s orders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><strong>Citi News<\/strong> checks at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital(KATH) have revealed that the two midwives suspended over Suweiba Mumin&#8217;s missing baby are still at post.<\/p>\n<p>This is because the ministry has failed to officially communicate\u00a0its directive to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>KATH came under attack sometime in February this year when a baby born by one Suweiba went missing at the facility.<\/p>\n<p>A final report released by the Ministry of Health directed that two midwives proceed on two and four weeks suspension respectively without pay for professional misconduct.<\/p>\n<p>The report also\u00a0asked for\u00a0the midwives be stripped of their license for their negligence.<\/p>\n<p>But according to<strong> Citi News\u2019<\/strong>Ashanti Regional correspondent Hawa Iddrisu, KATH is yet to act on the recommendations released by the Health Ministry since it has not yet received any official notification of the report and its sanction thereafter.<\/p>\n<p>The Public Relations Officer(PRO) of KATH, Mr. Kwame Frimpong in an interview with <b>Citi News <\/b>confirmed that the management of the hospital can only implement the directive by the Health Ministry after it has officially received the report.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>By: Marian Efe Ansah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Citi News checks at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital(KATH) have revealed that the two midwives suspended over Suweiba Mumin&#8217;s missing baby are still at post.
