{"id":255091,"date":"2016-10-05T12:40:07","date_gmt":"2016-10-05T12:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=255091"},"modified":"2016-10-05T12:40:07","modified_gmt":"2016-10-05T12:40:07","slug":"well-respond-to-ndc-attacks-if-eastern-region-npp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/10\/well-respond-to-ndc-attacks-if-eastern-region-npp\/","title":{"rendered":"We&#8217;ll respond to NDC attacks if &#8230;.- Eastern Region NPP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Eastern Regional Branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has threatened to respond in equal measure of violence to any attack from members of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).<\/p>\n<p>According to the party, the Police have failed to deal with recent attacks on officials of the Electoral Commission in Suhum allegedly by NDC thugs, sending a wrong signal to the residents of the area.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a press conference today[Wednesday], the Communications Director of the NPP in the Eastern Region, David Prah said they would not allow the NDC\u00a0 to employ violent tactics in this year\u2019s election if measures are not taken to ensure that culprits involved in the incident are arrested.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_255119\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-255119\" style=\"width: 426px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-255119\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/david_prah_npp_regional_communications_manager.jpg\" alt=\"David Prah\" width=\"426\" height=\"426\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-255119\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">David Prah<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201c Recently we heard and witnessed that some NDC hooligans have beaten EC officials in Suhum. We want to use this opportunity to inform the IGP to cause the arrest of these individuals. Our tolerance level has reached its limit. Henceforth we will also respond in the brutal manner.
