{"id":254529,"date":"2016-10-03T17:24:31","date_gmt":"2016-10-03T17:24:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=254529"},"modified":"2016-10-03T17:24:31","modified_gmt":"2016-10-03T17:24:31","slug":"odododiodioo-will-give-mahama-70-votes-nii-lantey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/10\/odododiodioo-will-give-mahama-70-votes-nii-lantey\/","title":{"rendered":"Odododiodioo will give Mahama 70% votes \u2013 Nii Lantey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has targeted 70% of votes for President John Mahama in the Odododiodio constituency of the Greater Accra Region on December 7.<\/p>\n<p>According to the NDC Member of Parliament for the area, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, the votes from the constituency will guarantee John Mahama\u2019s victory in the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at his campaign launch in Accra on Sunday, Vanderpuye said he will also garner 70% of the vote in the constituency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis time I am committed to making sure that we get the 70% target and the message is simple, I want John Mahama retained as president of this country. He\u2019s done so much, he\u2019s laid a solid foundation that we in this country cannot allow to be messed up and since Odododiodioo decides elections in Ghana, I want to make sure that we give John Mahama the 70% that he deserves to continue the good works, to continue changing lives and transformation in Ghana.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_54254\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-54254\" style=\"width: 480px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-54254\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/nii.jpg\" alt=\"Nii Lantey Vanderpuye\" width=\"480\" height=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/nii.jpg 480w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/nii-300x181.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-54254\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nii Lantey Vanderpuye<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He also admonished the opposition New Patriotic Party to forget the 2016 election because they\u2019ve already lost in advance.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I just want my opponent to understand that if they want to win elections, not in 2016 because there is no way they can win elections in 2016 because there is no way they can beat Nii Lantey Vanderpuye in Odododiodioo.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Battle for Odododiodioo seat<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nii Lantey Vanderpuye took over the Odododiodioo seat in 2012 from the NPP\u2019s Jonathan Tackie Commey<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_254389\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-254389\" style=\"width: 578px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-254389\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Akufo-Addo-Nii-Lante-Bannerman.jpg\" alt=\"Nii Lante Bannerman (R)\" width=\"578\" height=\"409\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-254389\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nii Lante Bannerman (R)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The NPP has however vowed to <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>take back the seat,\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>after it elected Nii Lantey Bannerman to champion that course in the constituency.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Godwin A.
