{"id":253890,"date":"2016-10-01T15:07:26","date_gmt":"2016-10-01T15:07:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=253890"},"modified":"2016-10-01T15:07:26","modified_gmt":"2016-10-01T15:07:26","slug":"greenstreet-resumes-greater-accra-campaign-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/10\/greenstreet-resumes-greater-accra-campaign-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"Greenstreet resumes Greater Accra campaign tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The flagbearer of the Convention People\u2019s Party, (CPP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, is expected to resume his campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region today.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Greenstreet is expected to reveal his party\u2019s agricultural policy to some farmers in the region as well as interact with other focus groups.<\/p>\n<p>He is also expected to visit the Ledzokuku constituency where he will endorse the party\u2019s parliamentary candidate for the area and commence some outreach programmes.<\/p>\n<p>Nana Gabby Nketia, running mate to Ivor Greenstreet, is also preparing to start a\u00a0campaign tour of the Brong Ahafo region next week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018CPP submits\u00a0nomination form\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Convention People\u2019s Party on Friday [September 30],\u00a0<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/09\/30\/greenstreet-edward-mahama-submit-nomination-forms-photos\/\">submitted completed forms of its presidential nominee<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0to the Electoral Commission ahead of the December elections. Flagbearer, Ivor Greenstreet and his running mate, Gabby Nketia together with the party chairman, Professor Edmund Delle, and others, were present to submit the nomination forms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018CPP chooses Gabby Nketia as running mate\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Communications Director of the CPP, Kadir Abdul Rauf Issifu, earlier confirmed to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, the CPP had settled on a businessman, <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/09\/29\/cpp-chooses-gabby-nketia-as-running-mate\/\">Nana Gabby Nketia as the running mate<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for its presidential candidate.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Gabby Nketia, a politician and a businessman, has worked with both the Ghana Armed Forces and\u00a0the\u00a0British Army, and is expected to complement the efforts of Mr. Greenstreet, with his international influence to help enhance the party\u2019s chances of winning the elections.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018CPP petitioned to discipline Greenstreet\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a member of the Convention People\u2019s Party (CPP), has petitioned the party\u2019s <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/09\/20\/cpp-petitioned-to-discipline-greenstreet\/\">disciplinary committee over comments made by the party\u2019s flagbearer<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, suggesting that President Mahama did nothing wrong in accepting a ford expedition vehicle gifted him by a Burkinabe contractor.<\/p>\n<p>According to the petition sighted by <strong>Citifmonline.com<\/strong>, \u00a0Greenstreet\u2019s position on the matter calls for an application of Article 111(b) of the party\u2019s constitution which states that any member who brings the name of the party into disrepute should be sanctioned.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Jonas Nyabor\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The flagbearer of the Convention People\u2019s Party, (CPP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, is expected to resume his campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region today.
