width=\"900\" height=\"506\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The EC slated the last two days in September to receive the completed forms from prospective candidates after it opened nominations earlier in the month.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_253733\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-253733\" style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full forms<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>12 political parties have so far presented forms of their presidential nominees to the EC in a hope to get them on the ballot paper on December 7.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-253743 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/gcpp-ppp-others-file-nominations-9_900x544.jpg\" alt=\"gcpp-ppp-others-file-nominations-9_900x544\" width=\"900\" height=\"544\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They include: the New Patriotic Party (NPP), National Democratic Congress (NDC), United Front Party (UFP), United Progressive Party (UPP), All People&#8217;s Congress (APC), Independent People\u2019s Party (IPP), National Democratic Party (NDP).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_253744\" Patriotic Democrats (RPD), Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Progressive People\u2019s Party (PPP), Unity Development System Party (UDSP) and the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_253738\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-253738\" style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-253738\" Nixon Tetteh and his team submitting their forms<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Filing fee brouhaha<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The EC declined accepting the filing fees of GHc50, 000 and GHc10, 000 for presidential and parliamentary candidates respectively because of a law suit filed by the Progressive People\u2019s Party (PPP).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-253737 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/gcpp-ppp-others-file-nominations-14_900x506.jpg\" alt=\"gcpp-ppp-others-file-nominations-14_900x506\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some of the parties had complained that the amount was too high.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-253745 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/gcpp-ppp-others-file-nominations-6_900x506.jpg\" alt=\"gcpp-ppp-others-file-nominations-6_900x506\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" \/><\/p>\n<p>However, the EC today refused to give back to the PPP its filing fee after the party\u2019s Chairman, Nii Allotey Brew Hammond presented the forms of the party\u2019s flagbearer, Paa Kwesi Nduom.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-253507 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/c957c4bb-9004-402e-a7c8-05c321501e43.jpg\"
