{"id":251898,"date":"2016-09-26T06:05:03","date_gmt":"2016-09-26T06:05:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=251898"},"modified":"2016-09-26T06:05:03","modified_gmt":"2016-09-26T06:05:03","slug":"vote-mahama-hes-our-own-deputy-chief-of-staff-to-northerners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/09\/vote-mahama-hes-our-own-deputy-chief-of-staff-to-northerners\/","title":{"rendered":"Vote Mahama; he&#8217;s our own &#8211; Deputy Chief of Staff to northerners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Deputy Chief of Staff in-charge of operations, Kenneth Wanjagi, has told inhabitants of the Northern Region that they would commit a mistake if they fail to endorse President Mahama in the December polls, considering that he&#8217;s one of their own.<\/p>\n<p>He thus called on them to vote massively for John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), saying the NDC is the only party that cares for the people of the north.<\/p>\n<p>He made the comments at the launch of the NDC&#8217;s regional Campaign at Bimbilla in the Northern Region.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Chief of Staff noted that, Ghanaians need a government that will\u00a0bring more development to the region.<\/p>\n<p>He cited projects that the President has done in the north, adding that, if northerners make the mistake of\u00a0changing the government those projects will remain incomplete forever.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Kenneth-Wanjagi-NDC-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-251908\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Kenneth-Wanjagi-NDC-2.jpg\" alt=\"kenneth-wanjagi-ndc-2\" width=\"600\" height=\"395\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The President has started several projects like the eastern corridor road, the schools that are at various stages of completion, the hospitals, roads that are not completed and many more other projects, if there is a change in government, we run the risk of having them not completed altogether.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018\u2019As northerners, we need a government that \u00a0is noted for completing projects and not political parties that are specialized in abandoning projects. We need continuity and not any government that does not care about northerners\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. wanjagi questioned what northerners will be telling the world if they do not show love for their own citing the volta and Ashanti regions as an example.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/SAM_1785.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-251906\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/SAM_1785.jpg\" alt=\"Inusah Fusseini, NDC\" width=\"600\" height=\"397\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We called Volta region our world bank because of JJ Rawlings, look at Kufour\u2019s time, he won massively in Ashanti region during his first and second terms in office; but if we neglect our own son, or own brother, husband and so on, then what are telling the world that we don\u2019t care about ourselves. If we northerners make a mistake and change the government, it is our own mistake.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>He noted that, under the Presidency of John Dramani Mahama, northerners have witnessed an international flight from the north to Suadi Arabia at the Tamale International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Tamale International Airport was started by Kwame Nkrumah and it was abandoned for so many years until recently that His Excellency John Dramani Mahama during his first tenure in office at least we can witness an international flight from Tamale to Saudi Arabia\u00a0and that is a record for us.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/NDC.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-251909\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/NDC.jpg\" alt=\"ndc\" width=\"600\" height=\"388\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The NDC regional campaign launch brought together some of the bigwigs in the region including the Deputy General Secretary, Koku Ayindoho, Mohammed Muniru Limuna, the campaign coordinator, \u00a0Mohammed Mumuni, Inusah Fuseni\u00a0and\u00a0Murtala Mohammed.<\/p>\n<p>The rest were the northern regional minister, Abubakari Abdallah, his deputy \u00a0A.B.A Fuseini, the regional chairman of the NDC Chief Sofo Azoka, other regional executives and parliamentary candidates in the region.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Mohammed Aminu M.
