{"id":25058,"date":"2014-06-15T12:04:11","date_gmt":"2014-06-15T12:04:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=25058"},"modified":"2014-06-15T10:34:21","modified_gmt":"2014-06-15T10:34:21","slug":"govt-agencies-failing-to-trace-debt-payments-files","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/06\/govt-agencies-failing-to-trace-debt-payments-files\/","title":{"rendered":"Gov\u2019t agencies failing to trace debt payments files"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Representatives of government agencies billed to appear before the Judgement Debt Commission are consistently failing to locate relevant files on compensations to make available to the Commission for perusal.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Finance (MoF), on Wednesday, represented by Mr Kojo Awuah-Peasah, External Resource Mobilization Officer, told the Commission the Ministry could not trace the file for GH\u20a1340,000.00 land compensation made to unidentified persons in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, the Ministry of Justice and Attorney-General represented by Mrs Dorothy Afriyie Anssh, could also not produce before the Commission a file relating to a petition for payment of judgement debt to Kwasi Adjei and two others.<\/p>\n<p>Their relatives had been killed in an accident involving Ghana Armed Forces fire engine vehicle and a Kia Truck at Kintampo.<\/p>\n<p>Group Captain Appiah-Agyekum, had said in an earlier sitting in May this year that a Board of Enquiry commissioned to investigate the case faulted the two drivers for neglect and recommended payment of compensation to the survivors.<\/p>\n<p>Counsel to the Commission told journalists on Thursday that a file concerning retired police officers, though the Attorney-General was aware of the case, could not find it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source: GNA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Representatives of government agencies billed to appear before the Judgement Debt Commission are consistently failing to locate relevant files on compensations to make available to the Commission for perusal.
