{"id":250558,"date":"2016-09-22T12:26:07","date_gmt":"2016-09-22T12:26:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=250558"},"modified":"2016-09-22T12:26:07","modified_gmt":"2016-09-22T12:26:07","slug":"actor-agya-koo-others-endorse-nana-addo-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/09\/actor-agya-koo-others-endorse-nana-addo-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"Actor Agya Koo; others endorse Nana Addo  [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ghanaian actor and comedian, Kofi Adu, popularly known as Agya Koo, has declared his support for 2016 flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo.<\/p>\n<p>He joins a tall list of other Kumasi-based entertainers including Matilda Asare and Ras Nene, who have endorsed the flagbearer\u2019s candidature ahead of the 2016 general elections.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-250568\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Nana-Addo-Agya-Koo-4.jpg\" alt=\"nana-addo-agya-koo-4\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Agya Koo at a press conference on Wednesday, September 21 at Patasi in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi, expressed disappointment in\u00a0the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), and called on the Ghanaians\u00a0to vote them out come December 7.<\/p>\n<p>He revealed that together with other actors, they have launched a campaign dubbed \u201cAgenda 57% 4 Nana Addo\u201d to canvass support for Akuffo Addo going into the crucial election.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-250567\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Nana-Addo-Agya-Koo-3.jpg\" alt=\"nana-addo-agya-koo-3\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Other actresses present at the conference included Nyankuta, Mama Cali and\u00a0Adwoa Bene.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Courtesy call on Nana Addo\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Agya Koo on Thursday, September 22, paid a courtesy call on the NPP flagbearer at his Nima residence in Accra, where the actor formally informed Nana Addo of his decision to support his candidature this year&#8217;s elections.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-250569\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Nana-Addo-Agya-Koo-6.jpg\" alt=\"Agya Koo\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince this [NDC] government came to power, there has been so much hardship and Ghanaians are complaining&#8230; For five years I have been at home, a lot of actors and actresses are just home with nothing to eat,\u201d he lamented.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI called my colleagues and told them to listen to the complaints of others&#8230; Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo should come and rescue this country.
