The Public Utility Workers Union (PUWU), has dismissed suggestions by the African Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP) for some workers to be laid off as government seeks a private partner to manage ECG.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how ACEP takes and determines who is fit and who is not fit. Even within ECG system, anybody who fails to meet the requisite requirement. If you go contrary to laid down procedures and the law catches with you, you are dealt with. So it is not like nobody is sacked or dismissed from the company for the wrong reason.\u201d the General Secretary of the Public Utility Workers Union, Micheal Adumattah Nyantakyi asserted.<\/p>\n
