{"id":247624,"date":"2016-09-12T16:55:49","date_gmt":"2016-09-12T16:55:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=247624"},"modified":"2016-09-12T16:55:49","modified_gmt":"2016-09-12T16:55:49","slug":"mahama-nana-addo-are-only-talkers-nduom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/09\/mahama-nana-addo-are-only-talkers-nduom\/","title":{"rendered":"Mahama, Nana Addo are only talkers &#8211; Nduom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The flagbearer of the Progressive People\u2019s Party (PPP,) Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has dismissed the streak of\u00a0promises made by the presidential nominees\u00a0of both the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a crowd at Manso \u00a0in the Mpohor Constituency of the Western Region, Dr. Nduom called on voters to disregard President John Dramani Mahama&#8217;s promise to provide <a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/05\/30\/ill-create-millions-of-jobs-in-my-2nd-term-mahama\/\"><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong>one million jobs<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>\u00a0should he be retained in office for a second term.<\/p>\n<p>He also dismissed the promise by the NPP&#8217;s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo to set up a<a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/06\/19\/nana-addo-promises-1-district-1-factory-policy\/\"><strong><span style=\"color: #666699;\"> factory in every district<\/span><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Dr.-Papa-Kwesi-Nduom-with-J.-B.-Aubyn-PPP-PC-for-Mpohor-Constituency.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-247639\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Dr.-Papa-Kwesi-Nduom-with-J.-B.-Aubyn-PPP-PC-for-Mpohor-Constituency-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"dr-papa-kwesi-nduom-with-j-b-aubyn-ppp-pc-for-mpohor-constituency\" width=\"620\" height=\"414\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;President Mahama went to the Flagstaff House\u00a0staff house and has brought dumsor, disease, poverty and unemployment despite his numerous promises&#8230;.Mahama said he will create 1 million jobs when he wins the elections, those are vague promises. Nana Addo says he will send a factory each to each town. I wonder why he [Nana Addo] waited till now, the answer is simple, he can\u2019t do it,\u201d Dr. Nduom stated<\/p>\n<p>The PPP&#8217;s flagbearer was in the town with his running mate, Ms. Brigette Dzogbenuku, and they were welcomed by an enthusiastic\u00a0crowd.<\/p>\n<p>He called on the people to make the right choice in the Decembers&#8217;s polls, stating that voting \u00a0the PPP into power would translate into good jobs and better living conditions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you vote badly, it will affect you for four years &#8211; it will lead to poverty, disease and unemployment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/western1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-247640\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/western1.jpg\" alt=\"western1\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cVote for jobs, potable water, good roads, stable electricity supply, access to good health care among others, if you vote for someone who does not give you what they promised, you have wasted your vote.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nduom stated that, although previous administrations had chalked some achievements, they were still not good enough as problems which existed during their respective tenures still persist.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will never say Rawlings, Kufuor or Mahama have not done anything; however despite all their \u2018works\u2019, malaria, poverty, bad roads and unemployment still lingers,&#8221; he said<\/p>\n<p>Nduom also introduced the party&#8217;s Parliamentary candidate for the constituency, J. B. Aubyn, and appealed to the voters to endorse him in the upcoming election and \u201csee what he will do for the constituency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Nduom told the crowd that Ms. Dzobgenuku has vast experience in rural enterprises and its development and that is something worth considering.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief for the area appealed for assistance for the completion of the community centre.
