It was all glitz and glamour over the weekend as 160 students from the Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design\u00a0graduated in a stunning ceremony.<\/p>\n
The theme of Saturday\u2019s event was Fashion Face-Off; Couture and Avant-Garde and that was evident early on as the young designers displayed some of their own designs in a great fashion show.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n Model after model walked down the runway \u00a0with some in very unique design and others in more conventional designs.<\/p>\n Following the show, some selected designers got a chance to compete for a place at one of the country\u2019s topmost companies in the Vlisco Designer Competition.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The intense competition featured some top-notch designs by about 14 young designers but the ultimate prize went to Jonathan Djieagu\u00a0whose designs were appreciated most of all by the judges and the audience.<\/p>\n Present at the graduation ceremony was the deputy Minister for Tourism Abla\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Dzifa\u00a0Gomashie, who advised the new graduates to take advantage of the numerous opportunities available to them in the sector.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n In total, 154 fashion students and 6 graphic designers graduated in the College\u2019s certificate course<\/p>\n Mercy Elorm Dansu and Priscilla Scott-Obaro were presented with awards for the outstanding students, while other prizes were given to deserving students, including the most improved. –<\/p>\n By: Edwin Kwakofi\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" It was all glitz and glamour over the weekend as 160 students from the Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design\u00a0graduated in a stunning ceremony.
