Comical Ghanaian Boxer cum musician, Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku, was on Friday September 2,\u00a0brought before a Circuit Court for assaulting a hairdresser at Bukom in the Greater Accra Region, who reportedly refused him a kiss.<\/p>\n
The boxer, whose career has\u00a0taken a nosedive, damaged the victim’s\u00a0Nokia phone valued at GHc 40.<\/p>\n
According to the police, Bukom Banku entered the shop of the complainant, Martha Nelson, and demanded a kiss from her.\u00a0After her refusal to kiss him, the boxer allegedly slapped and punched the lady.<\/p>\n
After the\u00a0physical\u00a0assault, he snatched her phone and crashed it on the\u00a0ground.\u00a0Bukom Banku\u00a0subsequently said he would replace her phone with a Galaxy.<\/p>\n
He is to reappear in court on Monday, September 5.<\/p>\n
This is the latest allegation of assault brought against the controversial boxer who has had previous run-ins with the law but without any of them ending in a prison term.<\/p>\n
In March 2016, he was arraigned and granted bail for allegedly assaulting three women<\/a><\/strong><\/span> after one of them rejected his request for sex.<\/p>\n Bukom Banku, in October 2015, also allegedly used a cutlass to assault one Michael Abbey; a resident of Akoto Lantey in Accra, but he again went scot-free.<\/p>\n Further back in January 2015, he was also arrested for allegedly\u00a0inflicting physical harm<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0on some persons after a disagreement at the \u2018Kpashimo\u2019 procession at Gbese in Accra.<\/p>\n Bukom Banku pops up at NDC campaign launch<\/strong><\/p>\n Bukom Banku, who was recently seen at the campaign launch <\/a><\/strong><\/span>of the incumbent NDC in Cape Coast, has portrayed himself as a supporter of the party, for which reason some believe he has been protected from imprisonment for his actions.<\/p>\n
