{"id":244742,"date":"2016-09-01T07:34:33","date_gmt":"2016-09-01T07:34:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=244742"},"modified":"2016-09-01T07:34:33","modified_gmt":"2016-09-01T07:34:33","slug":"nana-addo-calls-for-change-in-northern-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/09\/nana-addo-calls-for-change-in-northern-region\/","title":{"rendered":"Nana Addo calls for change in Northern Region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential nominee for the 2016 election is convinced the electorate in the Northern Region will at the December 7 polls reject the Mahama led National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.<\/p>\n<p>Nana Akufo Addo who is on a four day campaign tour of the Northern Region is banking his hope on the overwhelming turnout at his campaign rallies up north.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-244747 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/nana-addo-campaign-5.jpg\" alt=\"nana addo campaign (5)\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He is touring the Northern Region with a simple message of restoring hope in Ghanaians when elected President.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the nation is moving in a wrong direction under President John Mahama\u2019s watch for which reason a positive change of government is necessary.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-244744 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/nana-addo-campaign-2.jpg\" alt=\"nana addo campaign (2)\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe years of stagnation and the years of deception under John Dramani Mahama are coming to an end for the years of progress and prosperity under Nana Akufo Addo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a mammoth night rally at the Tamale Zogbeli Park, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo thanked the people of Tamale for their unflinching support.<\/p>\n<p>He urged them to translate their support into votes on December 7 for a resounding victory.<\/p>\n<p>He described as exceptional his triumphant entry into Tamale Township for his second day campaign tour of the Northern Region.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-244748 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/nana-addo-campaign-6.jpg\" alt=\"nana addo campaign (6)\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He said the NPP has a competent leadership that is capable of making Ghana work again.<\/p>\n<p>Nana Akufo vowed never to make promises he cannot fulfill and pledged saying, \u201cIf God willing I win the elections in December I will fulfill all the promises I am making.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTeacher trainee and nursing students\u2019 allowances are going to be restored when Akufo is elected as President. My one district one factory and one village one dam policies are feasible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am not going to tell the Ghanaian people or promise them things I cannot do. I am not going to lie to the Ghanaian people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He bemoaned, \u201cThe NHIS has collapsed and I am going to revive it so that it can work again and I am fully committed to the free senior school policy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nana Akufo Addo reechoed the need for the electorate to vote for all NPP Parliamentary candidates.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-244746 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/nana-addo-campaign-4.jpg\" alt=\"nana addo campaign (4)\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Other speakers including, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanteng, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, Hon. Addai Nimo, Otiko Afisah Djaba and Hon. Freddie Blay inspired the electorate in Northern Region to throw out President Mahama and the NDC on December 7.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-244743 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/nana-addo-campaign-1.jpg\" alt=\"nana addo campaign (1)\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Whiles the NPP national women\u2019s Organizer, Otiko Afisah Djaba admonished northerners not to vote on tribal lines.
