{"id":242941,"date":"2016-08-25T16:10:50","date_gmt":"2016-08-25T16:10:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=242941"},"modified":"2016-08-25T16:10:50","modified_gmt":"2016-08-25T16:10:50","slug":"hundreds-welcome-obinim-from-police-custody-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/08\/hundreds-welcome-obinim-from-police-custody-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"Hundreds welcome Obinim from Police custody [Photos]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Founder of the International God\u2019s Way church, Bishop Daniel Obinim was on Thursday welcomed by hundreds of his followers in Accra after he was granted bail.<\/p>\n<p>Obinim has been in Police custody since Tuesday after he was arrested for allegedly defrauding someone of GHc11.6 million; a crime had vehemently denied.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-242952 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/obinim-at-home-11.jpg\" alt=\"obinim at home (11)\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The popular preacher has also been lambasted by many for flogging some youth in his church for fornicating.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-242951 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/obinim-at-home-10.jpg\" alt=\"obinim at home (10)\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Bishop Obinim was granted bail with two sureties for each of the offences for which he was arrested.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-242950 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/obinim-at-home-9.jpg\" alt=\"obinim at home (9)\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hours after his release, the embattled preacher addressed his followers on his TV channel, OB TV.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-242956 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/obinim-at-home-14.jpg\" alt=\"obinim at home (14)\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He used the opportunity to debunk the fraud allegations leveled against him.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-242955 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/obinim-at-home-13.jpg\" alt=\"obinim at home (13)\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He also narrated the ordeal he went through when he was in Police custody.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-242947\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/obinim-at-home-6.jpg\" alt=\"obinim at home (6)\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>His follows on Wednesday besieged the Police headquarters in Accra to demand his release but they were dispersed by the Police with the use of water cannons and pepper spray.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-242946 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/obinim-at-home-5.jpg\" alt=\"obinim at home (5)\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Godwin A.
