The Progressive People\u2019s Party (PPP) says if the Electoral Commission fails to check how the National Democratic Congress funds its campaign, then it has failed Ghanaians.<\/p>\n
The policy advisor of the PPP, Kofi Asamoah Siaw, told Citi News<\/strong> that when the EC is asked to state how the NDC, is funding its campaign, it [EC] says that it has no idea how that is being done.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Electoral Commission has that responsibility to check the funding of the political parties. If you tell the EC to find out how the NDC is funding its campaign, they will tell you that they don\u2019t know,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Asamoah Siaw added that if the EC is unable to do this, then it means that they have failed Ghana.<\/p>\n \u201cThat is why we say that they have reneged on their responsibility to ensure that funding that goes to an NDC campaign is purely contributions from party people and not state funds.
