The Minority Leader in Ghana\u2019s Parliament has called on \u00a0President Mahama to immediately change some of his Ministers describing them as “square pegs in round holes.”<\/p>\n
Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu asserted that many of the President\u2019s Ministers are immature and do not have the requisite skills to help address the nation’s current woes.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019\u2026There is a world of difference between theory and practice; we can\u2019t grow our economy with people who appear before appointment committee, you ask them the most basic of\u00a0question\u00a0relating to the ministry that he\/she is being assigned\u00a0to and\u00a0he tells you please let me go there and I will learn; what good can come from such people,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019Square pegs in round holes; they are un-useful in the face of our challenges, let’s do what is right,\u2019\u2019 the minority leader stated.<\/p>\n
According to him there are so many competent and experienced people in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who can help Ghana \u2018\u2019come out of the woods\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019This is not a time for trial and error…; with respect to His Excellency the President,\u2019\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n
He has therefore called on the President to overhaul the entire government and bring on board the right people to fix Ghana\u2019s problems.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Suame\u00a0Member of Parliament also explained that the use of inexperienced ministers adds to the corruption canker the nation is facing.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019I am not saying that if you bring very competent and experienced people on board you will be able to wish away corruption, you may not.
