{"id":238745,"date":"2016-08-14T05:55:28","date_gmt":"2016-08-14T05:55:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=238745"},"modified":"2016-08-14T05:55:28","modified_gmt":"2016-08-14T05:55:28","slug":"vote-npp-for-choosing-muslim-running-mate-hamid-to-muslims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/08\/vote-npp-for-choosing-muslim-running-mate-hamid-to-muslims\/","title":{"rendered":"Vote NPP for choosing Muslim running mate &#8211; Hamid to Muslims"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer\u2019s five day tour of the Western Region has seen the latest bout of religious politicking with the spokesperson to Nana Akufo-Addo, urging Muslims to vote for the NPP in gratitude for having a Muslim running mate, Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia.<\/p>\n<p>Nana Addo\u2019s spokesperson, Mustapha Hamid, backed this call with scripture from the Quran where he said Nana Addo was doing good to Muslims and that he deserved Muslim votes in return.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;SAqnpixOWeQLpNJjp5VraKauiRnlzFLe&#8221;]Addressing party supporters at Sefwi Akontombra, Mustapha Hamid, said \u201cIf somebody like him [Nana Addo] is doing this for us Muslims and we say we don\u2019t like, let us remember that in the Quran, Allah tells us that: If somebody does good to you and you thank them, I will bless you; but if somebody does good to you and don\u2019t thank them be careful my wrath doesn\u2019t fall on you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow if Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has done all this for Muslims and we don\u2019t thank him, Allah himself has said his wrath will fall on you. It is not me Mustapha Hamid telling you this. So let us vote for him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mustapha Hamid\u00a0also insinuated that the Nana Addo\u00a0retained Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia as his running mate because the latter is a Muslim.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Bawumia.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-221372\" src=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Bawumia.png\" alt=\"Bawumia\" width=\"598\" height=\"381\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook at Alhaji Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia, on three occasions Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo repeated him as his running mate. The reason he repeated him was because he is a Muslim.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Listen to Mustapha Hamid&#8217;s urge to Muslims below.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/278194984&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false\" width=\"100%\" height=\"166\" frameborder=\"no\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Collins Dauda urges Zongos to shun NPP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mustapha Hamid\u2019s words\u00a0to Muslims follows the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Alhaji Collins Dauda&#8217;s call to people in Zongos in the country to <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/08\/12\/collin-daudas-tribal-comments-illogical-nana-addo\/\">shun the NPP<\/a><\/strong><\/span> because they will discriminate against them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople from the UP [United Party] tradition are not our friends and such we should not be in bed with them.
