The Ministry of Health will today [Monday] release 1.6 million Ghana cedis to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital to prevent a total shutdown of the facility.<\/p>\n
This follows an exclusive report by Citi News a week ago that the hospital was turning away new patients due to the lack of funds and huge debts owed their suppliers.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”2lteEqPwRYC7A6jwWXkUBLtLGYbUEVIH”]Speaking to Citi News<\/strong>, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Health, Tony Goodman said adequate measures have been instituted to ensure that the hospital functions properly.<\/p>\n \u201cOn Thursday the Minister went there [Psychiatric hospital] and revealed that the Ministry of Health is making sure to release 1.6 million into their account. They have started working on it so I believe by Monday they should have their money.\u201d<\/p>\n
