Final funeral rites for the late Hajia Abiba Nnaba, the mother of President John Dramani Mahama, has been held at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra.
Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur and his wife, Matilda, former Presidents Rawlings and Kufuor, Speaker of Parliament, Edward Doe Adjaho, former First Lady Ernestina Naadu Mills, the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, MPs, MMDCEs, past and serving heads of the Security Services, flagbearers and leadership of the political parties, the Clergy, traditional authorities, the Diplomatic Corps and a cross-section of the public attended the funeral to commiserate with the President and his siblings.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu recited the Hutbah and delivered the sermon.
He called for religious tolerance and appreciation of one another’s religious beliefs. He asked Ghanaians to continue to show appreciation to Allah for the county’s peace.<\/p>\n
He asked Allah to continuously show mercy and shower His bountiful blessings on the country.
President Mahama titled his tribute “You Weep Because You Love Them”, quoting from his book, \u201cMy First Coup D\u2019\u00e9tat”.
President Mahama extolled the generosity, enterprise and compassion of his late mother.<\/p>\n
President Mahama attributed who he is today to his mother`s strong sense of compassion, tolerance and patience.
He said she was a mother to all.
There were different cultural displays to enrich the funeral.<\/p>\n
