The EC\u00a0 is arguing that there is no time\u00a0for an\u00a0audit of the voter\u2019s register, but the political parties say it is important the Electoral Commission conducts the audit to\u00a0 authenticate the voter\u2019s register.<\/p>\n
Citi News<\/strong>\u2019 reporter, Sammi Wiafe who was at the EC\u2019s head office where the emergency Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting is under way said, \u201cwhiles the political parties are of the view that it is important the EC conduct the audit, the EC is arguing that there is no time on its side to do this auditing.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n He stated that, \u201cthey are still debating on this particular issue; there is no conclusion on the auditing aspect of the voter\u2019s register.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n Sammi also reported that the meeting will also discuss the modalities to be used for the next voter\u2019s registration.<\/p>\n He said the EC is considering July 2014 for the next voter\u2019s registration exercise ahead of the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n The E.C will also discuss some reforms for the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n By: Evans Effah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Electoral Commission (EC) and the Political parties are in a meeting to\u00a0discuss the\u00a0audit of\u00a0the voter’s register.
