Ras Mubarak<\/strong><\/a><\/span> is unpopular in the constituency, hence his optimism to win the seat.<\/p>\nAs a social development specialist and a teacher, Iddrisu Muqtar Dems urged the electorate there to reject votes buying politicians.<\/p>\n
He however pinpointed lack of resources as one of the factors affecting his campaign activities.<\/p>\n
Iddrisu Muqtar Dems took a swipe at the Mahama led NDC administration for neglecting the Kumbungu constituency.<\/p>\n
According to him, the Kumbungu district which was carved out of the Tolon\/Kumbungu district is lacking infrastructural development.<\/p>\n
He mentioned bad road network, inadequate classroom blocks and a district assembly complex among others to buttress his point.<\/p>\n
The NDC has since 1992 enjoyed electoral monopoly over the Kumbungu seat.<\/p>\n
The NPP with 10 out of 31 constituencies in the Northern Region targets the Kumbungu seat at the 2016 polls.<\/p>\n
